The Passionate Love

Ice dancers Molly Cesanek & Yehor Yehorov skated to music Karl Hugo composed, filmed at the Bryant Park’s skating rink in New York City. Karl created and performed The Passionate Love I Can’t Live Without especially for Molly and Yehor.

The skating sequences were filmed by Jordan Cowan of On Ice Perspectives and the piano sequences by Karl Hugo who also edited the video. The program is based on the concept of choreographer Kaitlyn Weaver and Karl’s partner in figure skating music, music designer Hugo Chouinard.

Romantika Rêverie

Karl wishes to offer you this visual fantasy marrying the rich sonority of a 9-foot piano with the graceful movements of ice dancers Luna and Leo who have exceptionally left their expanse of frozen water to surround him with their love.

Endless First Kiss

“What if you could live an entire existence in the moment of a first kiss?”. (Karl Hugo)

Launched on the International Kissing Day, July 6, Endless First Kiss is an ardent piano and cello duet composed and performed by Karl Hugo. It is a passionate sequel to Your Last Kiss, which was created for figure skating champion Shoma Uno.

Romantika Amo

“Everyone has a great need for love these days and that’s why I created for you this music video”. (Karl Hugo)

Karl Hugo chose to rearrange his composition Romantika and re-record it with the participation of passionate musicians of a string orchestra. Renamed Romantika Amo for the occasion, Karl, as usual, directed and edited this video which has both a modern style and a romantic sensibility.

Your Last Kiss

In this music video, Karl Hugo performs Your Last Kiss which he composed for the latest free program of Japanese champion Shoma Uno. The program is based on the concept of choreographer David Wilson and Karl’s partner in figure skating music, music designer Hugo Chouinard.

I Feel Lonely

Loneliness affects everyone, whether you are single or not. To illustrate this, Karl Hugo joined forces with The Voice of China sensation Junshu Zheng, Chinese ice dance champions Shiyue Wang & Xinyu Liu as well as the renowned Canadian choreographer Marie-France Dubreuil.

“I wrote I Feel Lonely especially for this collaborative project in order to have the pleasure of creating a unique work. I find that Junshu Zheng delivers a performance that is both moving and grandiose, making I Feel Lonely a universal and timeless song”. (Karl Hugo)
